How to get a beautiful room. (Linen House)

So as you guys know I'm usually either at my own house or at the office and to me, making my place look super cosy and pretty is extremely important since I spend most my time there.

We all wanna come home after school, work or just a long day and settle down in a comfortable environment right?

I know housewares and furnitures can get quite pricey at times which is why I started saving up about 2 years ago and spend a lot of my hard earned money on decorating my room.

In my own house, it's where most of my junk are and at the office is where we like to keep everything minimal and clean - So we tend to go for simple colours like white, grey and shades of brown.

Recently I received some beautiful sheets and pillows from Linen House and trust me, the least you could do in order to have a pretty room is to buy a nice set of sheets and layer different pillows to enhance the overall look of your bed.

If you're clueless on how to get started, just go on pinterest and start getting yourself inspired with simple keywords like "nice bedroom ideas". Well at least that's what I do hahaha. Otherwise Linen House provides plenty of coordinates for you to browse through as well.

To get that ideal "tumblr" looking room? 1) Nice sheets and many pillows 2) Bed lights #bedroomgoals lol. I get my fairy lights from Q0010 in case you were wondering.

So just to give you guys a brief background on Linen House, they were established in Melbourne, Australia in 1993 and have recently decided it was time to continue to grow and share their high quality, fashion-forward bed linen and textile products via their first online platform in Singapore, Asia.

Besides bed necessities, they sell a wide range of other stuff including bathroom, lounge and kitchen, as well as other seasonal novelty products.

Took nearly 2 hours before I could decide on what to get and I eventually went with the Claudia Grey Quilt Cover Set, Shaggy Cushion, Washed Linen Cushion and Knitted Snow White Cushion

90% of my room decos are purchased online because I feel that I could get stuff that are a lot more unique and they tend to have nicer designs compared to those in departmental stores or ikea.

I hate that feeling when I see 10 others with the same sheets as me on Instagram lmao.

Alright, enjoy the photos! :D

These are a couple of my favourites and I like how their styling can go from fun and playful with loud, vibrant colours to clean and modern with basic colours.

Most of their sheets come in all sizes btw.

They are having a great sale now on selected items! So do check them out at http://www.linenhouse.sg/ and tag me on Insta if you happen to get something from them! :)

Have fun! <3

Sunsilk Popup Salon 2015

I've always told myself that if I ever become jobless, I'll wanna open up my own hairstyling salon haha. I first figured how to braid my barbie doll's hair at the age of 5 and I must admit, I was pretty amazed with myself - Please allow me to bask in the glory of my accomplishment since there wasn't youtube tutorials back then lol.

I used to go to school with a different hairstyle almost everyday when I was in primary school and I bought my very first set of coloured extensions when I was 8 haha.

Anyway, from all the different hairstyles and hair colours I've been playing with over the years, you can tell that I really love styling my hair and recently, I found joy in styling other people's hair.

Which is why I'm really glad to be the ambassador of Sunsilk 2015! It was an honour working with them last year and I really enjoyed myself since I'm a regular user of their products to begin with.

About a week ago, I attended the 2015's popup salon at 313 Somerset and did a hair makeover for the winners of my instagram contest. It was a pleasant feeling to re-experience this again.

Tbh, I was still a little nervous even though it's my second time because I was afraid I would mess up. Nonetheless, I was delighted to meet some of you and to share my favourite hairstyles and favourite products with you - Especially the smooth & manageable leave on cream and nourishing soft & smooth hair spray which assisted me with the styling process.

Even the girls told me they could feel a significant difference in the texture of their hair after I applied them.

Register at www.sunsilkpopupsalon.com to skip the queue! I'll be styling another 3 lucky winners' hair at JEM, Main Atrium at Level 1 on the 20th of June from 2-3pm, so do come drop by! It will be open to anyone who wants to watch me do a "Live Hair Styling Session". :)

You can also shoot a super cool Hair In Motion video! Remember to upload it with #sunsilkgoodtimes so that I can see your video, and also stand to win a New Majestic Hotel staycation!

Hope to see you guys there!

What's your favourite hairsyle? Do share your pictures on Instagram and hashtag #Sunsilkgoodtimes and tag me if you happen to get your hair styled!

See you on the 20th darlings!

Melbourne day 8 / Younghungryfree

Julian joined us yesterday and we went back to the city area hoping to do some shopping but we got lazy and all the shops start getting pretty repetitive after a few days.

We're left with a couple more days before we head back to S'pore and I'm overwhelmed with all sorts of different emotions because I miss Buncha so so so much but at the same time, I really don't wanna leave this place.

Melbourne is really different from what I remembered and personally I feel that it's nothing like Perth, Sydney or Brisbane. From what I've learned, the buildings/architecture here are very much influenced by the European culture.

Even though it's a lot livelier and enthralling here, I still seem to like Perth most. I don't know why. I believe many would say otherwise cos Perth is a really quiet place and at this timing, it usually transforms into a ghost town.

Nonetheless, this trip has been amazing so far and I guess it's also because of the great location we chose to stay at; that's convenient to nearly every popular district and I just wanna make the most out of our remaining time here.

Anyway, if you guys were wondering, we actually rented our house through Airbnb and we're very pleased with the place and neighbourhood so far.

I guess staying in a house really has a different impact as compared to being in a hotel because it makes you feel at home plus It's a safe experience and woaaaaah the amount of choices Airbnb has is crazy. Not to mention how ridiculously low the prices are for big and pretty houses/villas/penthouses etc.

You can check out some of my favourite locations I have own my wishlist (here) if you're keen. Can't wait to travel more after this trip!

Here are some photos taken today in my new dress from my favourite YoungHungryFree. :D

Been working with YHF for 2 years now and I know I've mentioned this a million times, but they are by far my fav local online store.

Not sure if you guys noticed but I kinda stopped taking up blog ads for blogshops but YHF is one of the only few that I still talk about due to how unique and distinctive their style is in contrast to many local stores.

Besides the fact that they sell a huge variety of items, I just enjoy browsing through their page and admiring the different coordinates.

Speaking of YHF, they are having a MEGA sale on the 20th and 21st of June from 11am-9pm! Do drop by cos there's not just loads of amazing clothes, but music and much more! :)

Hope to see you guys there! <3
