#Sunsilkhairhunt!

I guess if there's one feeling in this world I enjoy the most, it's the overwhelming amount of happiness that rushes through my veins whenever I get to meet my readers (or supporters) and have the ability to make them happy in ways I can never imagine, with their eyes smiling from their cheeks. Thanks to the Sunsilk Hair Hunt last weekend, I got to meet and interact with a handful of you.

It's funny how up till this day, it still puzzles me why people would read my blog, follow me and even care about my existence. I remember the very first time I was approached for a photo in late 2011, and back then, I was like "You want a photo with who? ME?!" Of course, I don't respond in such a creepy manner anymore but I still feel unworthy. I'm human, you guys are as well, that makes us equal right? :p

Summary of what the Sunsilk Hair Hunt party was about - Basically I was hidden in a part of Mandarin Gallery and along with some clues I provided, my followers had to guess my exact location. Eventually, the first person who found me won a pair of tickets to Hong Kong! Felt really guilty about the rest who participated, but at least they were compensated with a huge bag of Sunsilk goodies and had a free hair blowout from PREP Salon with Sunsilk products!

As you can see in the pictures below, I had lots of fun that day!

See that beautiful braid that the PREP stylist created for me? It looks ultra sleek because of the Sunsilk Nourishing Soft and Smooth Oil Spray that was applied earlier to smoothen out my hair.

It was an amazing year as a Sunsilk ambassador and this mini-party was a great way to ending this journey with a bang. Besides the awesome cupcakes and getting to meet y'all, I'm just grateful to be a part of Sunsilk! Thank you, Sunsilk for the opportunity to be your Ambassador. :)

Wearing Contact Lenses

Have you ever tried something and decided you’re never turning back? Well, I know I did. When I was 13 I started realising one of my friends had bigger and brighter eyes after our holidays. I got really curious and eventually, through a few friends I figured out how she worked that magic haha.

So apparently she was wearing coloured lenses and my friends even brought me to check them out after school. I personally don’t have a degree but after trying on those lenses I knew I would never live without them again.

I’m sure many of you wear contact lenses too. Personally, I find wearing lenses fun and versatile because I get to change the colour of my eyes as and when I want, also if you hardly wear any makeup, coloured lenses could help enhance your appearance without it and help build your confidence. But it’s always so uncomfortable to wear my lenses throughout the day. My eyes usually get dry and irritated so I'd usually have to take the conscientious effort to remind myself to bring eye drops everywhere I go because of that. It’s so much of a hassle and the eye drops sometimes ruin my mascara.

After facing this problem for years I finally went online the other day to research about it. I realised that the reason behind my dry eyes is because of the water content in my lenses and hygiene. The safety of your eyes is definitely not something you want to mess with. Contact lenses are relatively safe if you choose the right brand (especially those that are certified) and know how to cleanse them thoroughly after every usage.

Now that I’ve identified my problem, I looked for a solution and I found FreshKon® Colors Fusion 1-DAY lenses. I’m sure FreshKon is a brand many people think of when buying contact lenses and I was really pleased to find out they just launched a new line of 1 Day lenses. The blushing violet is a new vibrant shade. Its gorgeous, vivid hue illuminates and with a pair of alluring eyes, I feel so confident when having eye contact with others. I've been wearing the non-enlarging ones for about a year now, was switching between 14.2 and 14.5 MM in diameter previously. I try to keep my eyes looking natural with colours like black or brown most of the time. However, no harm stepping out of my comfort zone for something new right? Just in case you don't already know, the black rim around the contacts helps to create an illusion of bigger looking eyes. Here are some photos of how they look!

So now, colours aside why else did I change from my usual monthly lenses to the FreshKon® Colors Fusion 1-DAY lenses?

For first timers, I’d suggest you guys head down to one of the Koolook branches to get your eye checkup before purchasing lenses. The staff that served me was very welcoming and professional. 2014 RECAP - As a Sunsilk Ambassador

2014 has been a crazy experience and I thought I'd share with you guys one of the best things that happened to me this year. For someone who's been a huge fan of Sunsilk's hair products for more than half my life, I was overwhelmed with joy when I first knew that I was gonna be one of the few Sunsilk Ambassadors of 2014 in Singapore. I remember how it started off with a call, knowing that I was gonna be part of this whole journey... I was thrilled, and I felt honoured, thinking to myself if all these were true… it would be amazing!

My journey working with Sunsilk started in late 2013, where I was given a chance to try out their Hair Fall range. Needless to say, my constantly dyed hair then was dropping in scary amounts and I was so happy to be able to try it out! My favourite product from that range had to be their hair tonic.

In 2014, I was chosen to front the Nourishing Soft & Smooth range and I was happy to be put with this range cause I think my hair really needed the nourishment! I did a photoshoot in late 2013 fronting this range with the other Sunsilk Ambassadors, Eunice, Rachel and Asyiha, for the Sunsilk Cleo Handbook, which came out in February!

I remember how anxious and fearful I was back then during my first shoot with Sunsilk, it honestly felt intimidating with every girl there looking so glamorous. I've been dyeing my hair repeatedly over the last few years on a regular basis, which caused huge damage to my hair! I've learnt to pay extra attention to my tresses ever since it started to look like hay.

The shoot turned out to be pretty fun and here’s how the final tutorial looks like on the Cleo handbook.

The next big thing with Sunsilk was their annual Pop-Up Salon. Now this part was pretty exciting for me as the four of us ambassadors were tasked to style our own readers hair! Since a very young age, I always had a thing for hairstyling; I even figured how to tie my very first plaid for my barbie doll on my own, which, not to mention caught my mom by surprise. I like coming up with my own hairdos and playing with my girlfriends' hair which was also why being able to style my readers' hair at the pop-up salon felt like a dream-come-true. Watching them stride off in confidence after their hair was done, wearing a huge smile on their face... These were the things worth remembering.

Throughout the year with Sunsilk, we would constantly challenge ourselves to think of different looks to teach all of you and it was through this, I learned a lot can be done with just your hair! Other than coming up with basic everyday looks, one of my favourite ones was this Cat-ear hairstyle tutorial I did for Halloween this year.

Well, as you can see, it was indeed a wonderful time; Being able to learn new things and expose myself to different areas... Things that money can never buy! Life wouldn't have been this easy without my Nourishing Soft and Smooth Oil Spray!
